WorkSafe
NE was established in 1990 by Jay Fitzpatrick of East
Andover, NH, who had served as corporate safety manager for a mid-size general
contractor. In his work, he recognized that many companies were not aware
of the OSHA requirements that applied to their job sites. He become one
of the first active OSHA construction outreach trainers in New Hampshire
(1986) and began to educate employees at his own company and subcontracting
companies about these standards and their application on construction sites.
Since then, he has helped dozens of companies initiate comprehensive safety
programs and has trained thousands of people in a variety of safety and
health topics (see Testimonials). While Mr. Fitzpatrick
remains the senior consultant of WorkSafe New England,
he relies on a variety of associates to supplement his own areas of expertise
as needed, to provide clients with comprehensive assistance.
WorkSafe NE is a safety consulting company dedicated to helping corporate clients develop workplace safety and health programs to reduce the chance of accidents, injuries and other losses.
In 2000, he launched the Safety Training
Consortium of New England in response to a growing demand for wide-ranging
safety training services. The Consortium provides
"one-stop shopping" for companies needing a variety of specialty
training by linking companies up with some of the most experienced and
knowledgeable safety and health trainers in the Northeast.

of the many training programs now offered by the Consortium.
Most of these programs can be customized, merged, expanded or condensed
to meet your company's individual needs. In recent months, we customized
courses on fall protection and overhead cranes/rigging for one large manufacturing
facility, and took photographs at their locations for use in a PowerPointŪ
program that was unique to their operations. Confined Space Entry classes
were also recently customized for another large company, where their own
policies, forms and procedures were blended into the curriculum, with
site-specific photographs that provided relevancy and helped stimulate
great discussions.
These
courses can be offered at your location or ours, or we can help put together
groups with similar needs in order to fill a classroom.
"Professional, practical and positive" are three
words that accurately define the services of both WorkSafe
New England and Safety Training Consortium.
